What’s a Holo Taco?

What started as a misunderstanding on YouTube is now a real life nail polish brand.

The phrase 'holo taco' started in one of Cristine’s nail tutorials on YouTube. When Cristine would say 'top coat' in her voiceovers people thought she was saying 'taco'. Wether it was her Canadian accent or maybe it was the mic, Cristine ran with it and she started adding a holographic ‘taco’ in every video.

Holo taco is now celebrating its 3rd Anniversary.

Who is Cristine Rotenberg?

Cristine Raquel Rotenberg is a Canadian YouTuber. She is the personality behind the biggest "nail art" channel on YouTube called "Simply Nailogical".

Her Channel has amassed over 7 million subscribers and counting...

You may know Cristine as the woman who painted 100 layers of nail polish on her nails or who once painted an entire car with nail polish. That's right.

Although Cristine is primarily known for her nail art videos, Cristine Raquel Rotenberg was a child actress in the late 90's and early 2000's, but quit acting to focus on school.

The 33-year-old social media phenomenon has a day job as a Crime Statistics Analysis for the Canadian government. Outside of that, she does nail tutorials as well as humor videos on her YouTube channel.
