Jordan Brand Donates $100 Million...

Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand announced their plans to donate $100 million over the next 10 years to fight for racial equality, social justice, and greater access to education.
The announcement, made on Friday, June 5th, 2020 comes in the wake of nationwide Black Lives Matter protests over the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery.
George Floyd's killing has inspiring more people than ever to donate to a cause. His death has impacted the world in a way we've never seen before.
Many celebrities, including Seth Rogen, Drake, Kanye West, Ryan Reynolds, Angelina Jolie, Chrissy Teigen, The Weeknd have raised money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, Black Lives Matter and other foundations aiming to help protect and improve the lives of Black people.
After the actor, Seth Rogen revealed he matched "and then much more" a donation for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a chain of donations began from actors like Steve Carell, Ben Schwartz, and Don Cheadle.
Drake revealed on his Instagram Story his donation of $100,000 to the National Bail Out fund.
Kanye West has donated $2 million to the cause and set up a 529 college savings fund to fully cover tuition for Floyd's 6-year-old daughter, Gianna. Kanye also made a separate donation to cover the legal costs for the Arbery and Taylor families. The weekend (musician) has donated a total of $500,000 to various Black Lives Matter causes. Angelina Jolie donated $200,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
Chrissy Teigen said she committed to donating $100,000 to the bailouts of protestors across the country.
Many other celebrities have joined and dug deep into their pockets to donate to the cause, and many other people around the world have stepped in as well.
George Floyd GoFundMe campaign has set a record! The campaign has gone global, getting donations from 125 countries. The Official George Floyd Memorial Fund has already received the highest number of individual donations for a GoFundMe page.
