Following months of controversy, makeup brand Morphe announces they will no longer be working with Jeffree Star!
There has been so much drama lately within the beauty community that when asked about the most recent drama, many beauty influencers including James Charles have refused to address it or talk about it.
Jeffree Star has even previously claimed ownership of Morphe but a representative of Morphe did confirm that Jeffree Star is not an investor or a part-owner. The only relationship Morphe and Jeffree Star have is through the retail distribution of Jeffree Star Cosmetics and the 2019 MorpheX collaboration.
In a statement released on Friday, July 10th, the makeup company stated they are working towards cutting ties with makeup artist Jeffree Star. "Today we've made the decision to cease all commercial activity related to Jeffree Star and affiliated products. We expect this to conclude within the coming weeks"
Morphe's decision to stop working with Jeffree Star comes after multiple influential figures in the beauty community demanded action from the Morphe company. For the past few months, there have been many claims of racism and harassment against Jeffree Star. Jackie Aina, who was one of the first stars to speak out about Morphe's connection, wrote on Twitter in July, "hey boos, as some of you may know as of this week I will no longer be a @MorpheBrushes affiliate... I refuse to align myself with a company that continues to retail antiblack racist beauty brands. I strongly encourage other influencers to do the same!"
Jeffree Star has had many accusations against him, lately more than ever! The beauty Influencer Jeffree Star himself has remained silent on all social media platforms since his most recent accusations.
