The Moschino Fall/Winter 2020 runway show took place in Milan, Italy. It was a fairy tale dream! From the womenswear extra-exaggerated shapes to their hair as high as the heavens, Moschino has definitely put a twist on these classic 18th-century vibes. Moschino's last evening gowns were designed to mimic tiered cakes. Take a look below!
Scott Moschino had the models in Marie Antoinette cosplay for Moschino Fall 2020.
Inspired by the extravagances of Marie Antoinette, one-time Queen of France, Moschino 2020 womenswear collection is all about fantasy. Of course, Scott loves a literal moment, so Marie Antoinette's phrase"Let them eat cake" translated into a series of dresses shaped as cakes. "Let them eat cake" is a famous phrase that is infamously attributed to Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution.
Moschino takes us back to the days of Versailles, with a cool, modern twist.
These looks bring a new twist to a familiar aesthetic of excess and luxury. Not only did the Moschino's collection had a variety of candy-bright colors, but also an interesting nod to streetwear with the hooded dresses. Such a Moschino twist, of course.
